The Club

The Phoenix Walking Club is based in North Tyneside and is a very active club with over 200 members.

We regularly walk in the Scottish Borders, Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria and the Lakes.

How we organise our walks

Every six days (except Sundays), so it isn’t the same day each week, we hire coaches to take us to our destination where typically a choice of walks between 7 to 14 miles will be available.

“The walks” menu item gives access to more details on our walks programmes, booking system, bus pickups and walks selection advice.

Governance

The club’s management committee operates in accordance with the club constitution.

Club rules and guidelines are set by the management committee to facilitate the smooth and safe operation of the club activities.

Members blogs & photographs

A number of members keep their own records of walks in words and photographs.

The links page gives other members access to these.
